Limonite ore process technology
A. The limonite ore whose particle size less than 10mm and moisture content less than 15% will be mixed together with 0-8% pulverized coal and sent to rotary kiln. Here in this kiln, finish the process of drying, magnetization, arsenic removal, and desulfurization. The rotating speed is 0.8-1.5 rev/min. The temp in the calcinations area is 800.50 ℃ and 350.0 ℃ in the drying area.
B. Cool the roasted ore with water after step A. When it is cooling down, classify it by classifier. The left particles will be separated by magnetic pulley, the overflow will be passed to wet low intensity magnetic separation machine via concentrate pump and the magnetic part is the final output, iron ore concentrate. Those limonite ore with low iron content but high impurities content of arsenic and sulfur will be mixed with coal, and then dried, calcined, magnetized and the impurities of arsenic and sulfur will be removed. All these process are finished in the same kiln. Then the process is simplified. Roasted ore after hardening classification will go to magnetic separation to get high iron content and low arsenic and sulfur content magnetite powder. It is widely used in the beneficiation of those weak magnetic iron minerals and waste residues.

Low intensity magnetic separation works together with gravity concentration, flotation and high intensity magnetic separation, ie magnetic iron ore is separated by low intensity magnetic separation, while the weak magnetic iron minerals is separated by gravity concentration, flotation or high intensity magnetic separation and with magnetization calcinations or other methods. It is similar to the magnetization and calcinations of single weak magnetic iron ore, but during the latter process, fine ore is treated by the combination of low intensity magnetic separation and other methods, ie, flocculation to remove the sludge method.
